Use of Service

By accessing or using Knowz ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Service is provided by Knowz and is available to users who are at least 13 years of age. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or import into Knowz. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and index your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This includes AI processing for features such as search, summarization, and tagging. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes other than providing the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Upload or transmit malicious software or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime in advance.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and documentation, is owned by Knowz and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent. The Knowz name, logo, and related trademarks are the property of Knowz.

API Usage

Access to the Knowz API is subject to rate limits and usage policies. API keys are personal and must not be shared. We reserve the right to revoke API access if usage violates these terms or disrupts the Service. You are responsible for all API calls made with your credentials.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knowz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you may request an export of your data. We will retain your data for a reasonable period to allow for export before permanent deletion.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
