Multiple Reasoning Modes
Choose between fast linear mode for simple questions and deep reasoning mode for complex queries that require analyzing multiple sources, comparing information, and synthesizing comprehensive answers.
How it works
Linear mode provides quick answers by finding the most relevant items and generating a response in a single pass. Reasoning mode breaks complex questions into sub-queries, searches iteratively, compares findings, and builds a comprehensive answer over multiple steps. You can see the reasoning process as it happens -- which sources were consulted, what sub-questions were explored, and how the final answer was constructed.

Why it matters
Not every question needs the same depth of analysis. A quick factual lookup should be instant. A complex question like 'What are the key differences between our Q1 and Q2 strategies?' requires deep analysis. Multiple reasoning modes let you match the depth of analysis to the complexity of your question, balancing speed and thoroughness.
