How it works
Face detection identifies faces in uploaded images and video frames. Each detected face is compared against face embeddings stored for known people. When a match is found, the image is automatically linked to that person's profile. Unrecognized faces are grouped by similarity so you can identify them once and have all instances tagged automatically.

Why it matters
Manually tagging people in photos does not scale. Face recognition automates this entirely -- upload a batch of photos and every known person is tagged automatically. This builds rich, person-specific galleries that grow without effort. Combined with other enrichment, you can search for all content related to a person, including photos they appear in.
