Item-Level Encryption
For vaults where most content can be unencrypted but some items need extra protection, encrypt individual items. Mix encrypted and unencrypted content in the same vault with granular control.
How it works
Any knowledge item can be encrypted independently of its vault settings. Toggle encryption on specific items that contain sensitive information. The encryption uses the same strong cryptography as vault encryption. Encrypted items appear in search results with a lock indicator but their content is only visible after decryption. You can bulk-encrypt or decrypt items.

Why it matters
Not everything in a vault is equally sensitive. A project vault might contain meeting notes alongside confidential financial projections. Item-level encryption lets you protect the sensitive items without encrypting the entire vault, maintaining easy access to most content while securing what matters.
