Recovery Phrase
Generate a mnemonic recovery phrase that can restore your encryption key if you forget your passphrase. Store it safely offline as a last resort for accessing encrypted content.
How it works
When setting up vault encryption, you can generate a recovery phrase -- a sequence of random words that encodes your encryption key. This phrase can recreate the key independently of your passphrase. Write it down and store it in a physically secure location. If you forget your passphrase, entering the recovery phrase restores full access.

Why it matters
Encryption is only as good as your ability to maintain access to your keys. Forgetting a passphrase without a recovery mechanism means permanent data loss. The recovery phrase provides a safety net that does not compromise security -- it is generated locally, never stored on the server, and you control its physical security.
