How it works
The key rotation wizard guides you through generating a new key, re-encrypting all vault content, and updating recovery mechanisms. The process is incremental -- items are re-encrypted one at a time while remaining accessible. Progress is tracked and the process can be paused and resumed. Once complete, the old key is invalidated and new recovery phrases are generated.

Why it matters
Security best practices recommend periodic key rotation. If a key is ever compromised, rotation limits the window of exposure.
