How it works
Tags are user-created labels you attach to items for quick filtering. Topics are AI-generated clusters that emerge from analyzing the meaning of your content. Unlike tags, topics update automatically as your knowledge base grows -- new connections form and topics split or merge as the underlying content changes. Both tags and topics appear in search filters and the visual explorer.

Why it matters
